Shallots (Allium ascalonicum L.) are a horticultural crop widely used by the community as a cooking spice. Increasing shallot productivity in Kediri District, Tabanan Regency, is expected to increase farmers' incomes. Based on field data, shallot production in Kediri District, Tabanan Regency, has decreased from 2020 to 2024. In reality, many factors influence shallot production, but not all of them can be analyzed in this study. Factors suspected of influencing shallot production in Kediri District, Tabanan Regency, are liquid organic fertilizer and land area. The objectives of this study were: 1) to determine the effect of Liquid Organic Fertilizer (POC) application on shallot production in Kediri District, Tabanan Regency; 2) to determine the effect of land area on shallot production in Kediri District, Tabanan Regency; and 3) to determine the effect of Liquid Organic Fertilizer (POC) application and land area on shallot production in Kediri District, Tabanan Regency.
The sample used in this study was 53 shallots in Kediri District, Tabanan Regency. This study used multiple linear regression analysis as the data analysis technique, with a prior classical assumption test.
The results showed that Liquid Organic Fertilizer (POC) had a partial positive and significant effect on shallot production in Kediri District, Tabanan Regency. Land area also had a partial positive and significant effect on shallot production in Kediri District, Tabanan Regency. Liquid Organic Fertilizer (POC) and land area significantly and simultaneously impact shallot production in Kediri District, Tabanan Regency.
