Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • The manuscript is my (our) original work and does not infringe upon any third-party copyrights.
  • I (we) agree to the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-SA).

Manuscript Template

All manuscripts submitted to Jurnal Sutasoma must be prepared using the official journal template. Submissions that do not use the template will be returned for revision before being sent to pre-review.

1. General

Jurnal Sutasoma is a journal published by Universitas Tabanan (UNTAB) Bali, which serves as a platform for publishing research results in Indonesia. This journal publishes research findings in the fields of science, technology, and social humanities, particularly within the context of national development. Submitted articles will undergo a review process by reviewers before being declared eligible for publication.

2. Focus and Scope

Submitted articles must align with the focus and scope of Jurnal Sutasoma, which include:

  • Development Economics: Research on the economic development processes of a region or country, including analysis of economic policy, social development, and global issues impacting economic development.

  • Entrepreneurship: Research covering the aspects of creating, developing, and sustaining businesses, including social, digital, and women's entrepreneurship.

  • Law: Research on national legal innovations and policies aimed at creating justice and benefit for society.

  • Information Systems: Research related to information systems that are beneficial to society, including web-based and mobile systems.

  • Agribusiness: Research in the agricultural field focusing on the agricultural industry and business.

  • Agrotechnology: Research on the utilization of technology in the agricultural sector.

3. Review Process

Submitted articles will undergo two review processes: pre-review and review.

3.1 Pre-Review The pre-review is conducted by the managing director and includes:

  • Focus and Scope: The article must be consistent with the scope of Jurnal Sutasoma.

  • Plagiarism Check: Articles will be checked using Google Scholar and iThenticate with a maximum similarity score of 20%. Articles with a similarity score above 20% will be returned for revision.

  • References: A minimum of 10 references, with 80% from primary sources and 20% from secondary sources, using APA style.

  • Template: The article must adhere to the specified template.

If an article fails to meet any of the components above, it will be returned for revision. The author is given 7 days to make revisions.

3.2 Review After passing the pre-review, the article will be reviewed by three reviewers. Reviewers can provide the following recommendations:

  • Accept Submission: The article is accepted without revisions.

  • Revision Required: The article requires minor revisions.

  • Resubmit for Review: The article requires major revisions and will be reviewed again.

  • Resubmit Elsewhere: The article is considered less suitable for Jurnal Sutasoma.

  • Decline Submission: The article is rejected.

4. Article Processing Time

  • The pre-review process takes approximately 3-7 days.

  • The review process by reviewers takes approximately 2 weeks per round.

5. Article Rejection

Article rejection may occur due to:

  • Not aligning with the focus and scope.

  • The author failing to revise the article within the specified time.

  • The article failing the pre-review three times.

  • Reviewer recommendations regarding the article's substance.

6. Plagiarism Policy

Authors must ensure their articles are free from plagiarism. If using the work of others, ensure it is properly cited. Authors are not permitted to engage in duplicate publication.

7. Publication Ethics

The code of scientific publication ethics consists of three ethical values:

  • Neutrality: Being objective and not influenced by individual interests.

  • Fairness: Granting equal rights and obligations to all elements.

  • Honesty: Free from duplication, fabrication, falsification, and plagiarism.

8. Open Access Policy

Jurnal Sutasoma is an open access journal, where published articles can be freely accessed to support a greater global exchange of knowledge.
